Flunkyball

The German festival classic: hit the bottle, drink until the other team shouts “Stop”. All Flunkyball rules in brief.

How do you play Flunkyball?

Form two teams standing a few metres apart on two lines. Everyone puts their drink in front of them; an empty bottle stands in the middle.

  1. A player from team A throws the ball at the bottle.
  2. If it hits, team B runs, fetches the ball and stands the bottle back up. Meanwhile team A drinks as much as possible.
  3. Once the bottle is up and team B is back behind the line, they shout “Stop!”. Team A puts their drinks down immediately.
  4. Then team B throws. No hit means the throw passes straight over.

If a drink tips over or foams over, that player must finish it and get a new one. The first team to empty all their drinks wins.

Agree on drinks and amounts before you start. The game works just as well without alcohol.
