UNO Drinking Game
The classic card game with drinking rules: draw cards and you drink too – and forget to call “UNO” and you really pay for it.
How do you play UNO Drinking Game?
Play by the normal UNO rules: everyone gets seven cards, you match by colour or number, and the first player with no cards wins the round. Add the drinking rules below – sips rather than shots, so the night lasts longer.
Drinking rules
- Draw 2: whoever has to draw takes two sips.
- Draw 4: four sips for whoever draws.
- Skip: the player who is skipped takes a sip.
- Reverse: the player who laid it gives out one sip.
- Forgot UNO: forget to call “UNO” on your second-last card, get caught, draw two and take three sips.
- False alarm: call someone out wrongly and you take a sip yourself.
- End of round: everyone else takes one sip per card left in their hand – five at most.
Variations
- Stacking: Draw 2 on Draw 2 is allowed; whoever finally draws drinks the whole total.
- Wild cards: whoever plays a Wild picks someone to take a sip.
- End of round only: drinks are counted only from the cards left in hand.
Tips
Agree the number of sips beforehand and write them on a note next to the deck. With more than six players, shuffle two decks together.
Agree on drinks and amounts before you start. The game works just as well without alcohol.
